Car And Driver awarded the Accent a subcompact class Editor's Choice Award. They praised the driving dynamics, mature interior, and high quality 7" infotainment system among other things, See all of their comments here.

As you can see from the articles below, the automotive press really likes the Hyundai Accent. But AutoPacific just showed that Hyundai Accent owners are more delighted with their cars than any other economy car owner, taking away a victory in this year's (2018) study.

The 2019 JD Power Initial Quality Study shows the Accent took second place in its class.

MotorTrend reviews the Hyundai Accent and noted that it is quieter, more comfortable, more refined, and offers a greater degree of amenities than the outgoing Accent. They praised the power of the engine statin that even though the horsepower and torque figures are down slightly, it has been retuned to provide better power delivery. They said you can cruise at 75 MPH with three passengers in the car with no problem. They said the transmission is smooth and body motions are well-controlled with its revised suspension and stiffer body structure.

Automobile Magazine reviewed the new 2018 Hyundai Accent and came away impressed. They praised the improvements to ride quality and quietness. They further detail the impressive array of standard and available equipment for the class: standard Bluetooth and back-up camera, available automatic climate control, sunroof, and automatic emergency braking with forward collision warning. Even Apple Car Play and Android Auto comes on all but the entry level trim.

The NY Daily News gets that the Accent is an entry level transportation vehicle but one that offers a bit more refinement than much of its competition and more amenities as well. They say it is comfortable, gets really good fuel economy, and has some nice features for the travel as well.
